The Ripken family is deeply intertwined with professional baseball, with Cal Ripken Sr. laying the foundation as a coach and manager for the Baltimore Orioles. Cal Ripken Jr., known as the “Iron Man” for his record-breaking consecutive games streak, achieved legendary status as a Hall of Fame shortstop for the Orioles. Billy Ripken, Cal’s brother, also played in the major leagues as an infielder for several teams.
