Publishers dust jacket, with $3.95 price on front flap, nicks along edges, 2cm loss on spine. Signed on front free endpaper with the following inscription by the author: “To ____, My very good friend, all the best – George Allen – 1960.”
Comments: George E. Allen (1896-1973), served as a political operative during the Roosevelt and Truman administrations. He befriended President Eisenhower during the 1940s, while making trips to Europe on behalf of the Red Cross. After leaving politics, he remained close to President Eisenhower, becoming known as one of “Ike’s Millionaires.”
