Date of 1956 on copyright page with “H-F” noting early printing. Publishers first edition dust jacket, $3.50 on front flap, with “In Courage” on cover in vibrant red, “No. 4622” on back panel and “No. 5922A” on bottom of front panel. Dust jacket in very good condition, some fading to spine, wear along edges, stain along back panel. Inscribed by a secretary of John F. Kennedy on the front endpaper: “To Virginia Thatcher with very best wishes, John Kennedy.” Includes photograph of Robert Kennedy, inscribed to the Thacher Family.
