George P. Bush, born April 24, 1976, is the son of Jeb Bush and grandson of President George H.W. Bush. He is an attorney, former Navy Reserve officer, and Republican politician from Texas. He served as the Texas Land Commissioner from 2015 to 2023. A graduate of Rice University and the University of Texas School of Law, he worked in private law practice before entering politics. In 2022, he ran unsuccessfully for Texas Attorney General, losing in the Republican primary to incumbent Ken Paxton.
