Housed in quarter blue leather clamshell, marbled boards, title stamped in gilt on spine. From the estate of Charles Fleischmann III of Cincinnati, with his bookplate on the title page. The case of McAndrews vs. Thatcher, decided by the Supreme Court of the United States in 1865, involved the expenses incurred in refloating a stranded ship, the price paid for it’s cargo and the duty to recover lost expenses for salvaging the ship.
