Octavo, 357pp, [1]. Black cloth, title in silver on spine. Stated “First Edition” on copyright page, with full number line. Light rubbing to silver on spine. Housed in the publisher’s slipcase, near fine, bright illustrations of William Shatner on side panels. The limitation page states were sold to the public, and “twenty-six copies have been reserved for private distribution, lettered a-z.”
This is one of the 26 held for private distribution, being letter K. The only known example on the public market.
Comments: William Shatner began his acting career in 1951, but found international fame with his portrayal of Captain Kirk in 1966. He would reprise the roll for three seasons in Star Trek: The Original Series and in seven movies, from 1979-1994.
