Advertisement on verso of dedication page. Solid text block. (McBride 4) (BAL 3310) A scarce example of Twain’s first published book.

    The first edition of The Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras County, and Other Sketches was printed in 1867 by Charles Henry Webb. It was Mark Twain’s first book, being a collection of 27 short stories, originally published in magazines and newspapers.
