Originally published as The World Crisis in six volumes, this three-volume edition is the first illustrated compilation of Churchill’s work. Churchill biographer William Manchester references the book and notes: “His masterpiece is The World Crisis… Magnificently written, it is enhanced by the presence of the author at the highest councils of the war and in the trenches as a battalion commander.”
