Octavo, [five volumes], iv, 549pp; 583pp, xii, 441pp; 374pp; 440pp. Full leather, gilt borders and turn-ins. Five raised bands on gilt-embellished spines, title in gilt on morocco label affixed to spine. Marbled endpapers, top edge gilt. Bound by Riviere & Son. Solid text blocks, light wear to edges, a near fine set. A few short scratches to front cover of Volume II. Frontispiece portrait in Volume I of the Historical Memoirs, and frontispiece portraits in each volume of the Posthumous Memoirs.
