The Johnstown Flood is the first book by Pulitzer Prize winning historian David G. McCullough. This book recounts the historic floods of 1889 along the Little Conemaugh River after the failure of the South Fork Dam. The flood destroyed the town of Johnston, Pennsylvania and killed upwards of 2000 people.
