Octavo, viii, 471pp, [1]. Three-quarter navy blue morocco, blue cloth boards, thin gilt trim. Five raised bands, title in gilt on spine. All edges gilt, blue cloth endpapers. Solid text block, light wear to edges. A near fine example.
The Martian was originally published as a magazine serial split into eight parts in 1896. This complete copy is the first illustrated edition, released posthumously.
