Helen R. Roosevelt was the daughter of James Roosevelt Roosevelt, the half-brother of President Franklin Roosevelt. Helen was close to both Franklin and Eleanor growing up, with Eleanor being a bridesmaid in her wedding. She married Theodore Douglas Robinson, the eldest nephew of President Theodore Roosevelt, in 1904.
