Solid text block, previous ownership inscription on front free endpaper, foxing on endpapers, a near fine example. In publisher’s dust jacket, $2.00 retail price on front flap, shelf wear, small red stain on bottom of back panel and inside along bottom edge of spine, clear image of Leslie Howard on front cover, a very good example.
The Petrified Forest was adapted from a play into a film of the same name in 1936. The cast included Leslie Howard and Bette Davis and was the breakout role for new actor Humphrey Bogart at the time.
