February 8, 1965.” Multiple black and white photographic illustrations by Ansel Adams and Wynn Bullock. Housed in publishers pictorial slipcase, near fine, light shelfwear along bottom edge. Inscribed by President Lyndon Johnson to Henry Diamond, the Executive Director of the White House Conference on Natural Beauty.
Inscription reads: “To Henry Diamond, For his immense contribution to this book, The Conference, and the beauty of America – Lyndon Johnson.”
Mr. Henry Diamond is a lifelong advocate for environment protections. After leaving government in 1975 he founded one of the nation’s largest environment law firms, Beveridge & Diamond. In 1996 he authored Land Use in America, along with Patrick F. Noonan. In 2015, the Environmental Law Institute presented Mr. Henry Diamond with the lifetime Environmental Achievement Award.
