This copy is the second issue, with the publisher’s advertisements lacking a box on page [2]; “low wail of” corrected on page 14, line 1; “peices” corrected to “pieces” on page 81; “While the Woodman” on page [227]; lacking an enclosed box on colophon and reset with 13 lines. Issued without front and rear free endpapers. Lacking the scarce dust jacket.
Complete with 24 color plates, including the title page, which are a blend of first and second issue illustrations. Ownership notation in pencil, dated 1905. Soiling to boards, rubbing to spine.
