Signed first edition of Dynamic Geographer, a lecture by Theodore Roosevelt. Octavo, 105pp. Green cloth, title in gilt on spine, wear at edges. Inscribed by the author on the title page: “Commissioner Washborne, With the best wishes of The Author.”

Comments: After leaving the presidency in 1909, President Theodore Roosevelt embarked on a year long trip through African and Europe. When traveling around Europe, he was greeted with high honors by Kaiser Wilhelm II of Germany, Emperor Franz Joseph of Austria-Hungary, King George V of Britain and many other leaders. He commented that the German military buildup could be an issue for Europe in the coming years. He lectured at Oxford for a short while, where this book was published.
