This is one of 100 limited edition copies hand-sewn in paper wrappers. Inscribed on the front free endpaper: “For Bert Babcock with my regards and good wishes always. Ray. Carver / April 25, 1985. / Port Angeles, Washington.” Additionally signed by the author on the title page and the limitation page.
Raymond Carver (1938-1988) was an influential American writer and poet, renowned for his minimalist style and relatable depiction of working-class life. He published several acclaimed short-story collections, including “What We Talk About When We Talk About Love,” “Cathedral,” and “Where I’m Calling From.” Carver was widely admired for his writing, receiving five O. Henry Awards throughout his career and a nomination for the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction in 1984.
