Eugene Ferdinand Walter (1921-1998) was an award-winning American screenwriter, author, poet and actor. He is credited in more than 20 films, wrote numerous books and traveled the world. His biography was published posthumously, titled Milking the Moon: A Southerner’s Story of Life on This Planet. It was a finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award.
