Twelvemo, [12pp], 224pp, [14pp ads]. Red cloth, title in gilt with decorative black and gilt illustrations stamped on spine and front cover. Stated “Fiftieth Thousand” on title page. Previous ownership inscription on front flyleaf. Complete with frontispiece and fifty illustrations by John Tenniel. Light soiling to cloth, some fading to spine. Front hinge starting, otherwise a solid text block. A very good example.
