Octavo, viii, 310pp. Full red morocco, gilt trim to covers. Title in gilt on spine, five raised bands. All edges gilt, with gilt turn-ins and marbled endpapers. Finely bound by Hayday & Co., with bindery’s stamp to verso of free endpaper. Stated “A New Edition” on title page. originally published in two series in 1826 and 1827. Solid text block, light creasing to hinges, a near fine example. When fanned out, the fore edge painting depicts a partially nude couple fornicating in a horse-drawn carriage.
