Includes a laid-in note from Mrs. Reagan’s personal aide about the inscription. Signed on the half-title: “To Joanie Huber / with my best wishes / Nancy Reagan.”
The recipient of this copy was Joan M. Huber, USN, who served in the United States Navy Nurse Corps for 30 years. Beginning in 1986, she served as the senior White House nurse, for both President Reagan and President Bush. She provided full time care for the president at the White House and while traveling abroad. She retired from the Navy Nurse Corps in 2001.
