The Snow Goose was originally published as a short story in The Saturday Evening Post in 1940. It was expanded into this form, a novella, published in 1941.Paul Gallico (1897-1976) was an American sportswriter and novelist. He began as a sportswriter for the New York Daily News, eventually retiring to become a novelist. He published over 40 books during his lifetime, many were adapted into films.
