Fully illustrated with 8 full page illustrations by Howard Frech. An excellent copy.
Comments: This was the first book by influential naturalist Rachel Carson. This book would make up part of a trilogy, which she completed in the early 1950s and includes “The Sea Around Us” and “The Edge of the Sea.”
