Comments: Hans Michael Frank was a member of German Workers’ Party, later known as the Nazi Party. He was a confidant of Adolf Hitler, taking part in the failed Beer Hall Putsch of 1923. After Hitler’s rise to Chancellor, Frank became a member of the Cabinet with no specific portfolio. After the invasion of Poland in 1939, he was appointed governor-general of the occupied territories. He would be tried at the Nuremberg Trials and was sentenced to death in 1946.
