Stated “First Published 1934” on copyright page. Frontispiece portrait with tissue cover. Lacking the scarce publishers dust jacket. Previous ownership bookplate affixed to front end paper. From the personal library of Windsor Holden White, a former American polo player. A fine copy.
Comments: The author, Hugh Ruttledge, was an English mountaineer who lead two expeditions to Mount Everest in 1933 and 1936. Both were unsuccessful.
