Comments: This publication was first serialized in the Gujarati magazine, Navjivan, from 1925-1929. It covers the life of Gandhi from his early childhood through 1921. The work was encouraged by Swami Anand, a close associate of Gandhi, who saw the need for a better understanding of Gandhi’s past and the motivation for his public campaigns.
