Comments: The White House: A Historic Guide was first published in 1962 during the Kennedy Administration. Subsequent administrations have all released a revised version of the book, some utilizing a different title, such as The Living White House. The book returned to the original title of The White House: An Historic Guide in the Carter administration and has remained the same since that time.
