Cover design by George Wharton Edwards. All edges gilt. Light soiling to front cover, wear to tips. Fully illustrated by Frederic Remington. Originally issued with a dust jacket but lacking here. The first issue of Ranch Life and the Hunting-Trail is identical to the second issue, except for the colors of the front cover illustration by George Wharton Edwards. The second issue is decorated with deep brown colors, as opposed to olive green and gold on the first issue.
