Limited edition of The Twenty-Eighth Division, Pennsylvania’s Guard in the World War, compiled by Colonel Edward Martin and limited to 100 deluxe leather-bound copies.
Folio, [five volumes]. Each volume measures 11.75″ x 15.25″. Three quarter blue levant morocco, title in gilt on spines, raised bands, decorative gilt compartments. Top edge gilt, silk endpapers. Some rubbing to tips, points of treated dry-rot to leather, some rubbing to cloth panels. Bookplate affixed to the front pastedown endpaper of Volume I. Solid text blocks, with hundreds of photographs in black and white. From a limited edition of 500 copies, with the first 100 bound in blue levant morocco, the remaining 400 in blue cloth. This copy being number 49 of 100, signed by the registrar.
