First issue with “Set up, electrotyped, and published July, 1903” on copyright page. One leaf of ads at rear. Top edge gilt. Illustrated endpapers. Complete with 10 full-page color illustrations and other illustrations in light blue. Frontispiece with tissue cover. Faint offsetting to both endpapers where dust jacket used to lay. Touch of rubbing to lower edge of cloth, point of wear at the lower tip of the spine. Clean text throughout, solid text block. Lacking the scarce dust jacket. (BAL 11876) An exceptionally bright, near fine example.
