Octavo, 347pp. Navy blue cloth, title in yellow on spine and front cover. Stated “First Printing, September, 1928” on copyright page. The first state, with (1) printed on last page and “motors” on page 135, line 14. Slight lean to text block, light rubbing to cloth on front cover, touch of sunning to spine. Lacking the publisher’s dust jacket. A nice example of the scarce first state.
