Dr. J.A. Mowris was the regimental surgeon for the 117th New York Volunteer Infantry. Originally published in 1866 by Case, Lockwood and Company of Hartford, Connecticut, this reprint of Dr. Mowris’ regimental history contains a new foreword and index.
