The Fourteenth Regiment of the New Hampshire Volunteers organized at Concord in 1862. The next three years took them to Washington D.C., New Orleans, Berryville, and Savannah for various duties including picket, patrol, and provost. The men participated in the Battle of Winchester and the Battle of Cedar Creek, ultimately losing a total of 232 enlisted.
