Description

The address by Herbert Hoover to the 1952 Republican National Convention, signed by former President Hoover. Paper pamphlet, 14pp. Bound at spine with staples. Some toning as expected, in near fine condition. Signed by President Herbert Hoover on the front cover. A scarce signed pamphlet.

Comments: Before the 1952 Republican National Convention, former President Hoover enthusiastically endorsed Senator Robert Taft for president. Hoover believed that Taft better aligned with his conservative principles and belief in a limited federal government. When Eisenhower won the nomination, Hoover was asked to give a nominating speech, which he did. Hoover never liked Eisenhower, believing that he had not done enough to dismantle the New Deal policies of the 1930’s.
