The 3rd Battalion of the 134th Infantry Regiment was part of the 35th Infantry Division during World War II. Activated in 1940, the battalion played a significant role in the European Theater, particularly during the Normandy Campaign, the liberation of France, and the Battle of the Bulge. It was heavily engaged in intense combat operations, including the breakout from Saint-Lô and subsequent fighting through Belgium and into Germany.
