This is a limited edition printing of 500 signed copies, this being number 42 of 500. Inscription reads: “December 25th, 1984. To Jody and John Bush, With so much love – Happy reading! Bar – (Me, too Pop).” A unique family association copy, with Vice President Bush using his childhood nickname of “Pop” in the inscription.
John Bush is the younger brother of President George H.W. Bush, the uncle of President George W. Bush and the father of news reporter Billy Bush. Poppy was a nickname given to President George H.W. Bush as a child by his mother and it followed him throughout his long political career. At his funeral, tributes from family members and close friends often referenced him as Poppy.
