Comments: Known as a social activist and pioneer of the Civil Rights Movement, Mrs. Parks played a pivotal role in the success of the Montgomery Bus Boycotts. She was awarded the Congressional Gold Medal and the Presidential Medal of Freedom. She passed away in 2005 at the age of 92.
