Dresses from the Collection of Diana, Princess of Wales, signed by Diana and dignitaries attending the traveling Dresses for Humanity Exhibition.

Large folio, [7], 10-204pp. (12 x 17 in). Purple leather covers. Sewn-in silk bookmark. Illustrated with hundreds of color photographs depicting the dresses and life of the Princess of Wales. Housed in publisher’s white cardboard chemise. Leather repair to top edge of front board, some general wear from handling. This catalogue traveled with the “Dresses for Humanity” exhibition around the United States. It is signed by dignitaries who attended the event, including the Governor of Kentucky. This copy is signed by Princess Diana in black ink on the half-title, being number 43, from a limited edition of 250 copies.

Beginning in 1998, several dresses from the Princess Diana Collection toured North America to benefit her charities. The exhibit was called Dresses for Humanity, An Exhibition of the Dresses of Diana, Princess of Wales. This auction catalogue traveled with the show and was signed by a number of dignitaries who attended the opening receptions. Inscriptions include: the Governor of Kentucky (Paul E. Patton) and his wife, the Lord Baron Thomson of Fleet, and the directors of several art museums.
