Oblong quarto, 159pp. Green morocco, raised bands, title in gilt on spine. All edges gilt, marbled end papers. Binding done by Sangorski & Sutcliffe – Zaehnsdorf, with binders stamp in gilt on rear end paper. Housed in green cloth slipcase. From a limited edition of 100 deluxe editions, this being number 9. Not all of the deluxe limited edition copies are signed by Prince Charles, but this copy was inscribed on the limitation page, affixed to front free end paper. An exceptionally beautiful binding of this scarce limited edition, signed by HRH Price Charles.
Limitation reads: “This specially bound edition of 100 copies of HRH The Prince of Wales Watercolours has been produced to mark the occasion of The Prince of Wales’s 50th Birthday on 14th November 1998. Charles. Edition number 9. Sales benefit The Price of Wales’s Charitable Foundation.”
