Bobby Knight (1940-2023) is a former NCAA basketball coach, holding three national championships, eleven Big Ten Conference Championships, and an Olympic gold medal as the coach of the 1984 USA Men’s Basketball Team. He retired with the most wins of any coach in NCAA Division I basketball history, but has since been surpassed by three coaches. He was the head coach of the Army Black Knights from 1965-1971, the Indiana Hoosiers from 1971-2000, and the Texas Tech Red Raiders from 2001-2008. He passed away at the age of 83 in 2023.
