An advance review copy of Looking Forward by President Franklin D. Roosevelt. Twelvemo, 279pp. Illustrated wrappers, title on spine and front panel. All edges cut. Wear to spine from handling. This is the advance review copy, of which 130 were printed in wrappers and sent to reviewers. Includes publisher’s statement for reviewer, noting that this is an unbound copy and a publishers insert dated March 16, 1933. Cancel leaf added for PP 141-142 to correct for initial publication errors plus edits with India Ink on multiple other pages. (Halter T550) An exceptionally scarce work from President Roosevelt.
Comments: Shortly after the 130 advance review copies were sent to reviewers, errors were discovered, and the publisher requested that the books be returned. Approximately 120 of the 130 were returned, corrected and shipped back out on March 15, 1933. This copy belonged to Frederick B.
