Light toning to spine, rubbing to cloth, spot of excess gilt on spine, likely from the production process. Marbled endpapers. Solid text block, clean throughout. Both volumes complete with frontispiece portraits, 16 folding maps, 13 facsimiles. (Woods A40d) (Cohen A97.6.b) Lacking the original glassine wrapper and slipcase. A near fine example of this scarce deluxe edition.
