In publisher’s near fine dust jacket, retail price on front flap. Inscribed to Joe and Audrey Gerson of Fort Wayne, Indiana, where Mr. Gerson was a well known philanthropist, automotive executive, merchant mariner and advocate for a strong U.S. industrial base. Inscription reads: “To Joe & Audrey Gerson. Great friends for a long long time! Very best wishes. Carl Levin.”

Carl Levin is a retired United States Senator from Michigan. He served in the senate from 1979 – 2015, becoming the chairman of the powerful Armed Services Committee in 2007. He remains the longest-serving senator in the history of Michigan.
