Octavo, two volumes, [xvi], 400pp; [xii], 436pp. Publisher’s tan buckram, printed label on spines and covers. Top edges gilt. Clean pages, uncut. Both volumes appear unread. Bookplate affixed to the front pastedown of each volume. Includes the “Author’s Autograph Edition” slipcase, soiling to side panels, some loss of gilt foil along boards, reinforced seams. Both volumes in the “Author’s Autograph Edition” dust jackets, small loss at the head of the spine of Volume I, faint toning to both spines, both near fine examples.
This is a limited edition publication of 2,100 copies, this being number 676, signed by General John J. Pershing on the limitation page.
