Octavo, [10], 302pp. Black cloth, title stamped in gilt on spine. Stated “first edition” on copyright page, with two grades of paper as issued by publisher. Solid binding, clean text. Gilt not flaked as is often the case with this book. Faint toning to endpapers, bottom edge of spine lightly rubbed, light dusting to top edge of text block, slight lean to text block. Two leaves with a closed tear along bottom edge near gutter. Previous owner’s name written in blue ink on front free endpaper, some transference to front flap of dust jacket. In publisher’s dust jacket, retail price $3.00 on front flap, toning to spine and verso, shelf wear and light soiling to covers. Chipping and tears along top/bottom edges, some loss at top edge of spine. Some mild dampstaining to verso of dust jacket, not affecting book covers.
