Description

From the international travels of President George H.W. Bush, a collection of 14 Press Information booklets, detailing scheduled meetings with world leaders.

Includes trips to NATO Summits, the Vatican, Buckingham Palace and a summit in Malta with Mikhail Gorbachev. All in near fine condition, some light wear from handling. Includes a laid-in press pass for Joseph J. Gancie, former vice president and director of government relations for ITT Corp. and a member of the National Press Club. Dates on pass indicate it was used during President Ronald Reagan’s trip to China, April 26-May 1, 1984. It is likely these booklets belonged to Gancie. A unique collection from inside the presidential press pool.

Includes the following credentials:
– Visit of President Bush for State Funeral of Emperor Showa [Tokyo, Japan], February 23–25, 1989
