Colonel Charles McGee (1919-2022) flew a combined 409 combat missions in World War II, Korea, and Vietnam; among the most in service history. McGee graduated from flight training at Tuskegee Airfield in 1943 and served with various fighter groups until he retired in 1973. He received the Congressional Gold Medal in 2007 and was inducted into the National Aviation Hall of Fame in 2011.
