Octavo, 304pp. Red hardcover, black cloth spine, title stamped in gilt. Full number line on copyright page. This copy appears unread, light rubbing to lower edge of spine, a near fine example. In the publisher’s very good dust jacket, $5.95 on front flap, toning to spine, light shelf wear. Signed on the front free endpaper after the death of Robert Kennedy: “He was a man we could not afford to lose – William Johnson 9/16/68.” Additional inscription: “Robert F. Kennedy died cruelly and we were all deprived of what he could have done. Nick Thimmesch. 10-23-68.”
The author of this book, Nick Thimmesch, was a fellow at Harvard’s John F. Kennedy School of Government, Washington Bureau Chief for Newsday and author of two books about Robert Kennedy (The Bobby Kennedy Nobody Knows and Robert Kennedy at 40).
