In this photograph, Carter is riding his pony named Lady, with the family bird dog named Sue in the foreground. Photograph measures 8″ x 10″. Signed in black ink by President Carter.
Having authored over 30 books, President Carter was recently asked which was his favorite, and he immediately responded with “An Hour Before Daylight.” Published in 2001, An Hour Before Daylight recounts his boyhood in Plains, Georgia. It was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize in 2002 and would become one of his best-selling books.
