Brigadier General Paul W. Tibbets Jr. (1915-2007) commanded the B-29 Superfortress “Enola Gay,” which dropped the first atomic bomb on Hiroshima, Japan, on August 6, 1945. He is featured numerous times in this book by General LeMay.
